You can now pre-order the new Adobe Acrobat 9 and Creative Suite 3.3 range from Blue Solutions. This is due to ship around the end of June.

The new version's being touted as a significant upgrade, partially on strength of new-found native support for Adobe Flash - including video and application files - within PDF documents, which can be read using Adobe Reader 9. Acrobat 9 also offers an Overprint Preview feature which allows designers to view interactions between overlapping objects. Print professionals can reliably convert colours between colour spaces, switch RGB and CMYK blacks to solid black, and map one colour to another colour, including mapping colours to Pantone spot colours. A Compare Documents feature identifies differences including changes to text, text formatting, images, line weights and backgrounds between versions of documents. Acrobat 9 also includes the ability to combine a range of content - documents, video, audio, 3D objects - into a single document within the new concept of PDF Portfolios. Users can select of create layouts for their Portfolios.
