The only problem is that they are infected with malware Trojans aimed at recruiting the infected computer to a criminal botnet. Even worse, the Trojans are so deeply buried in the pirated code, that conventional signature detection methods appear to be ineffective. The figure was 1,656227, up from 624,627 in 2007 which was up from 140,690 in 2006. One of the most common forms of attack is to exploit website vulnerabilities of popular, trusted sites and redirect the visitors’ browser to a server/site under the attackers control.
